It is with immense pride that I would like to congratulate all 3 children from Horizon College International who have sat for the French DELF Junior Exam organized by the Alliance Française of Colombo this September 2022. The children were part of Language Matters French enhancement programme run by Miss Madhu Juliange in collaboration with HCI over the years. All of them (Sasith Wicramasinghe Year 8 / Hasindie Abeysundara / Anumi Udhandi Y11Commerce) have passed the DELF Junior Exams (certification granted by the French Ministry of Education) and have reached the following positions Island wide:
2nd best : Sasith Wickramasinghe (missed Island’s Best by ½ a point)
3rd best : Hasindie Abeysundara
4th best : Anumi Udhandi
It is an outstanding achievement by the children and also Ms Madhu who sadly no longer conducts French classes through the school as she has migrated back to the UK. However she may still be running one last batch of students due to some parents’ requests.
