Stitch By Stitch
The Prefects’ Guild of HCI 2020/21 together with the Lanka Fundamental Rights Organization (LFRO) worked on this project (Stitch By Stitch) with the aim of empowering women in Kahatagasdigiliya, Anuradhapura.
Our aim was to help the women in the above community to find a source of income and also to donate children valuable resources to children.
Henceforth, we donated thread cones and pairs of scissors in order to establish a sewing community for women, who will be sell the clothes to gain an income.
Further, for children in the area
We donated many books, water bottles and lunch boxes.
The donations will be handed over to the children and women by LFRO.
The donations provided to us by all students , teachers & staff of the HCI.
